Get to Know Your Government: The Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) In-Person

Come learn about the Massachusetts Office on Disability! The Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) is a small state agency that provides information, guidance, and training on disability-related civil rights and architectural access. They help people understand their disability rights and obligations, how regulations apply to the specifics of their situation, and practical steps they can take to assert their rights and comply with the law. There are a lot of state agencies and other organizations that serve the disability community. This presentation will help you navigate the government, have more successful government interactions, and learn more about MOD and how they can help you. It does not include legal information.

Presenter: Lilia Melikechi is the Communications and Training Manager at the Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD). In this role, Lilia works closely with MOD’s experts to create and share plain language, accessible information about disability rights and accessibility.
