Freedom Lawn Signs In-Person
Come to The Teen Room for an afternoon of sign-making in celebration of Banned Books Week! The signs will be displayed on the grassy area in front Brookline Village Library.
The goals of this project are:
- To help teens articulate their stories and their vision for the community they want to live in.
- To amplify teen voice in the community.
- To inform influencers and decision makers about teens’ experiences and their vision for the future.
The For Freedoms project’s purpose is to encourage community discussion and civic action. Each sign represents one young person’s viewpoint.
This event is generally sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundations and For Freedoms.
