Act Up & Vote! with Central Square Theater In-Person
Youth Underground (YU) is an ensemble that creates and performs original theater that investigates social issues relevant to young people, and inspires them to make a difference in their communities. Their pieces are created through a series of interviews with the community. In Summer 2018, their interviews centered around Voting and Civic Engagement, and Act Up & Vote! was born. In Summer 2024, the script was updated with additional interviews to discuss the importance of voting in the year’s upcoming election season. This production is for all ages, but may be best enjoyed by families and teens in grades 6 and up, as well as adults.
