Winter Tea Gathering 冬日茶事

Winter Tea Gathering 冬日茶事 In-Person

After the first week of November, winter officially begins, known as 立冬 (Li Dong) in the lunar calendar. This season marks the onset of freezing temperatures, as the earth grows colder and harvested crops are stored away.

As the chill of winter settles in, we invite you to join us for a winter tea gathering at the Putterham Library. This event will immerse you in the essence of oriental tea culture and showcase the innovative flavors crafted by our forward-thinking host, Chen Yan, who represents the second generation of her family’s tea business.

Chen Yan has evolved traditional tea-making and drinking practices, developing new methods that resonate with today’s audiences, both locally and internationally. Her creations have gained popularity as far as Europe and the Middle East.

Space for this event is limited to 12 participants -- we encourage you to arrive early to secure your spot!

This event is generously sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundation.
