Speaking from the Heart: a Diversity of Brookline Stories, History Series In-Person
This is Part 1 of 5 of a montly series that will feature varied voices of Brookline, telling of their of their experiences and lives.
Ginnelle Vasquez holds an MSW from Simmons College and is an alumna of Springfield College. She is currently aspiring to pursue a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) in the near future and welcomes recommendations for free programs. Ginnelle is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Life Coach, and Certified Doula and the founder of a private practice where she provides counseling and support to individuals, families and groups. She is honored to be part of both the Boston Public Schools and Boston College communities.
With a strong commitment to community engagement, Ginnelle believes that an involved and supportive community creates better opportunities for those in need who might otherwise go unnoticed. Her professional interests center on supporting youth and families and improving school-based mental health services.
Personally, Ginnelle is passionate about women's issues, addressing the racial divide, closing the wage gap, and supporting teen parenting. She is also a proud mother of five and enjoys nurturing plants and spending time in green spaces.
