Teen Brain Development and Anxiety Relief Strategies In-Person

Why does everything feel so intense as a teenager? In this interactive 30-minute workshop, we’ll break down what’s happening in the middle and high school brain. We’ll talk about everything from why risk-taking increases to how your prefrontal cortex is still “under construction.” You'll learn how brain development impacts emotions, decision-making, and anxiety. Then we’ll introduce easy, evidence-based anxiety relief strategies anyone (not just teenagers) can start using today. We’ll walk through breathing techniques, grounding exercises, and a few quick tools for calming your brain during stressful moments. No lectures. Just real talk, brain science, and a few laughs. Whether you are a teenager or a parent, come ready to learn, reflect, and leave with tools that work.
