Puberty & Consent Talks for Tweens and Caregivers In-Person
Talking about puberty can feel awkward - but it doesn’t have to! Join local educator Ana Maria Ramos, from Familia Sex Talks for an interactive workshop designed for tweens (ages 8-12) and their caregivers to learn, laugh, and navigate the changes of growing up together. Through videos, group activities, and guided conversations, families will explore the physical, emotional, and social changes of puberty in a safe and supportive environment.
Together, we will:
-
Learn about body changes, menstruation, and reproductive anatomy.
-
Build healthy hygiene habits and bust common puberty myths.
-
Explore consent, bodily autonomy, and personal boundaries.
-
Understand the difference between safe surprises and unsafe secrets.
-
Strengthen family communication and create ongoing conversations at home.
This workshop uses humor, honesty, and interactive activities to normalize conversations about puberty and relationships, giving tweens confidence and caregivers the tools to support them.
Capacity is limited to 25 families, comprised of one child ages 8-12 and their trusted adult(s). Please sign-up using the registration form below, to reserve your spot!
