Shadow Puppet Show: The Great Zodiac River Race In-Person
Long ago, the Jade Emperor held a great river race to choose twelve animals to represent the years and to help people keep track of time. Animals crossed the river using strength, cleverness, and teamwork. Their journey determined the order of the twelve Chinese Zodiac animals still used today! Join the puppeteers from Shadow Joy Lab for a performance of "The Great Zodiac River Race." Following the show, participants will have a chance to explore the puppets and ask questions about the art of shadow puppetry.
All ages are welcome! This performance is recommended for children ages 4-12 and their families. Due to program limits, free tickets are required and will be available at the Brookline Village Library Children's Desk beginning at 1:30 PM on the day of the program.
