VIRTUAL: Internet Safety for Parents, Guardians, and Communities
The internet can be a wonderful resource, but it can also be a confusing and sometimes scary space to navigate. In this program, we will provide ways to help teach youth to be safer online, with the goal of helping them to become more aware of potential online risks and empowering them to help prevent victimization by making safer choices on- and offline.
This event is for ADULT CAREGIVERS ONLY. If you are looking for an internet safety program to attend with the tween or teen in your life, please see the in-person workshop we are hosting on Thursday, November 20.
This workshop is being run in partnership with Kristy MacDougall, the Community Outreach Director at the Norfolk District Attorney's Office and Norfolk Advocates for Children. Kristy is a proud handler of Bailey, the Community Resource Dog, who loves to work with children and communities! She has a passion for spreading safety education to youth, caregivers, and professionals.
